Rumor has it that Smithville upset Savannah in Class 3 District 8... Mark heard this at church from a Smithville JV member who worked at the tournament but he also says that person wasn't entirely sure. Yea I'm not sure which one of our jv players said that...obviously nowhere near the truth. We ju...

Good to see some things will never change
I've been a loyal KU fan my whole life. Sure last year was not such a great year; we lost quite a few seniors, especially Wayne Simien. From the two games I've seen KU play so far, I see that they have a lot of potential, but also a lot to work on. I think there will be some tough times ahead while ...

Bill Self has made some excellent choices in recruits. I'm looking forward to this season....possibly the future NCAA champions?

If Mizzou loses to a pretty much no-name school, i can't wait to see how they fare against KU, especially with Brandon Rush and Sasha Kaun. I'm glad to see we've got quite a few players over 6ft this year, even if KU is a young team.

Chiefs' season over after Week 3
Well it doesn't really matter anyways, like i said before, the Chiefs should never have been in the position to fumble..they lost because of their own poor playing. The offense stunk. Jordan Black was no match for Denver's Trevor Pryce, there was just no stopping him. It was just a terrible day for ...

Chiefs' season over after Week 3
Are you kididng me... these are the best refs in the world and the work they have to do in split seconds is huge I highly doubt that they are the best refs in the world. I know that every good ref makes a mistake....but there is still a fair amount of favoritism, especially between rival teams...af...

Chiefs' season over after Week 3
I'm a die-hard Chiefs fan, even when they do perform terribly. I have to agree that their performance at Mile High Stadium was not pretty. Part of it, though not all, can be blamed on poor calls by the refs. Take for instance the fumble they had in the first half which the Chiefs wisely challenged-h...

Geez...you just had to go and burst my bubble of hopefullness. Yes, I already figured that the book would be shorter, I think even JK stated that the fifth book was going to be the longest. Maybe I was wrong, but I could have sworn that JK had been thinking about writing another HP book that wasn't ...

Hopefully the last book will be nice and long, at least 1000 pages.....yup. It's kinda sad to think that the seventh is going to be her last. Everything should be cleared up, especially Snape's role in this. J.K. Rowling said she might write more books about Harry if he doesn't die in the last book,...

I'm from Smithville. Yeah, some of the things i thought of may not seem entirely possible, but it's nice to think about it. With JK Rowling, you never know what could happen. I guess I still want to think that Snape is good and that Dumbledore wasn't wrong in his judgement.

So here's a review of my points then: I think that Dumbledore must have told Snape to kill him; they were after all overheard earlier on in the book arguing by Hagrid- this could be due to the fact that Snape was not, at all pleased to be asked to kill the only man that really trusted him. Also Dumb...

What do you think about Snape's role in all of this? This also kind of goes with the idea that Nagini is a Horcux: If and only if, Snape is actually on Dumbledore's side, maybe Dumbledore told him about the Horcruxes, and he let him kill him in front of all the death eaters so that now he is honored...

What about this: Dumbledore took the fake horcrux locket with him to the cave (the one with the message in from "R.A.B") intending to put the fake one in the bowl and take the real one. He takes the real one but in the rush and him being slightly weakened/delirious from drinking the liquid...

Thunderstorms are perhaps one of the most intriguing natural phenomenons. They can start out as just a simple cumulus cloud and develop into a supercell, tornado producing raging storm. My most tornadorrific experience was the May 4, 2003 tornado outbreak. I was coming home from Alabama and we were ...

Bridget Zacharias, Smithville High School Class of 2007. I plan to go to MU for vet school even though I love KU. I love to golf, read, hunt, fish, shop, and watch college sports. I like to listen to 70's music, like Queen, Lynard Skynard, and the Eagles. Our school is finally starting to get into Q...
