Re: BARGE at Mizzou - Sunday, January 15th

What's the format of this tournament going to be? I know Illinois and both Chicago teams wrote packets for this tournament and I only see 10 registered teams.

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

Including the team from Oakville, it looks like we have 4 teams for VCU Trash if we just lump together all the persons currently playing as free agents onto one team. Let's plan on a double-round-robin schedule with a final only if there is a tie for first. That will get us done at 7:15 pm plus or ...

Re: WUSTL Open

I didn't realize that so many people were playing Trash because they never indicated it on this spreadsheet . If I had known that, I would have just asked Jacob and the people interested in the one VETO packet to either get to the tournament early to play the packet or to stick around during lunch s...

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

VETO will be played first. More people want to play it and one person playing Trash needs to show up after a certain time. If all goes well, WUSTL Open and the VETO packet will be read before dinner.

Re: WUSTL Open

There will be a nominal $5 fee for those playing Trash following the Moon Pie mirror. You can either bring cash or write a check out to Mike Cheyne and I will mail it to him when I get back from this tournament.

Re: WUSTL Open

I have updated the WUSTL Open spreadsheet to keep track of VETO and VCU Open Trash players. Since we are just accumulating lists of interested players for now, I put NO TEAM NAME in the team name column until there are enough people playing to break out teams ahead of time. Right now both are small ...

Re: WUSTL Open

With Oakville's announcement of a team, we have 8 confirmed teams (I'm assuming that at least one Rock Bridge/Charlie Dees will show up; if they don't, then Illinois could play as two teams of two players so we could avoid byes). A ninth potential team has been added to the wait list section per Gor...

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

Oakville may be sending a team of some sort to this, but we're also open to having students from other schools on our team. (Your move, Will Alexander.) Any word on this? Also, Gordon, do we know what building this is going to be in? I have a team of two players, however, the rest of the team has b...

Mike Bentley has also offered his VETO packet for our use after Moon Pie. Take it as you will.

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

I'm out of town for the Fourth of July and only really have access to an iPhone, so I'll update my earlier post when I get back to my apartment. For now, I wanted to let people know that I have been in contact with Mike Cheyne about playing VCU Open Trash as a side event after the Moon Pie mirror. I...

Re: Missile of October mirror at Rock Bridge

Since this is about 140 miles round-trip less than the main site (and I have a car with a low-mileage lease), at least one Illinois team will attend this mirror.

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

Illinois will have a team in attendance. We can bring two fully functioning buzzer sets and one that works most of the time (though I wouldn't use it if you have extras).

Re: ALL 2011-2012 ANNOUNCED DATES

Since D. Garb never got around to setting up a temporary announcement, I'll note that we're running this year's Earlybird on 10/15 at UIUC. We've pulled teams from several States (including Missouri) in the past and we're hoping to do so again this year.

Re: Interest Check: St. Charles Open 2011?

It's rather unfortunate to find out that this tournament might not run right after I pulled together a full team of Illinois players. That being said, I'd really like to see this moved to a different venue, so I'm hoping WUSTL becomes available or a high school offers their facilities. If people are...
