The New And Improved 2007-08 Predictions Thread
This is probably much belated... but the mentioned "TC" should just be Team Chuck... It's going to be sad when he goes up to history bowl and rains on Savannah's parade, but I like Charlie... so that will be my consolation.

Jeff, the last time you played us was at Truman... where we lost by a swing of one question... our record against you was 4-1... we beat you guys in our match at Maple woods which would bump that to 5-1... why does this merit your comment about Liberty being better than us? I know you guys are good,...

Weren't the questions a bit weird?
All I know about these questions is that we weren't very good at them. Our team is accustomed to balanced questions at tournaments... whether its all speed like Straight A or Champions or if its long drawn out ones like NAQT... WCA was kickass at these questions no doubt. Hoekzema (sp) could somehow...

Yeah, Melissa, I'd have to agree with you on all counts there. Your Savannah team was unbalanced good in 2002 because you were so quick, smart, and amazing. To put up those numbers while playing with Michael, Kim, and Darren is incredible. You are superfantastic! Is their an underlying purpose behi...

Lexington is definitely good. After seeing them at Savannah they have greatly improved over the season. They are pretty strong in history and equally strong in lit. I don't know about science or math. But yea they are definitely a candidate to make the afternoon rounds.

The point of what I was saying is Mr. Allen expects if a team has prospects for the Panasonic team, they need to make an effort to get to a tournament where he (Mr. Allen) is at in order to be seen so he can judge if they are worthy. They may be incredible players, but he can't go on reputation only.

Mr. Allen would have been happy to recruit the East MO giants (other than Jimmy) but they didn't go to his tournament or Savannah or any other tournament he was at for that matter to be scouted. So that was his reasoning for not picking you guys... I'm sure we could use you guys but unfortunately it...

Savannah 520- LeBlond 140 FYI LeBlond beat Cameron like 485-170 or somethin like that... it was a pretty good margin so they had some divine inspiration after a stagnant season. Also, these questions suck. We had a pretty great team effort with myself, Tom, and Will all making the all-district team.

Well, I'd say the odds that any given team wins are increased by preparation. Although sometimes "upsets" happen. Some of these are just an example of how work can make a struggling or average team very competitive.

Savannah won. We actually had two matches that went into overtime, but they were mainly due to us not getting quite everything we could have gotten, the questions that were extremely irrelevant, and the lack of questions as there were only 25-30, leaving little room for error.
