Rosemary Camp did the same thing at Liberty this year, but this has been their fourth straight district title. Is this Viburnum's first?
Win a couple more district titles or upset Richland next week, and Coach Frutiger should rank up there.

WCA is Class 3, and they have to go up against Savannah. It's feasible.

Liberty only practices twice a week, ranging from 90-120 minutes. List studying was on our own, although two of us had teaching assistant study halls with our coach. We studied then if we weren't working on logistical details.

State records are printed in the program each year. Based upon the stats my brother kept for the game, Liberty should replace NKC in those two categories.

Those stats should be kept on the MACA website.

Ottolino was one tossup shy of tying Adam Hill's mark of 24 in a championship game, but Liberty prevailed because of their state record bonus conversion (86% initial accuracy and 40 correct answers).

I expect another fierce and memorable match, and I will be watching.

Because several large schools haven't started up programs, the cut off for Class 4 is only 760, compared with 900 for several other sports and almost 1100...

Ray South made it in 1997 and went 0-3. Last year Ray-Pec was the first team from their conference to win a match at state, with an awesome player named Corey. Either he had an off day last week or Raytown South has someone no one's noticed before.

Coach Allen tends to choose players from the larger classes. The competition in Orlando is very fierce, particularly from the Beltway (Maryland, Virginia, and DC have won nearly 2/3 of the championships.)
