Hello Parth!

In addition to being involved with MOQBA, I'm also a member of the HSAPQ Board. We're currently working on finishing up writing the set, but I suspect that more information will be available soon.

Of course! I was hoping I could get a couple of other teams to join me on a combined scoreboard, but I got no responses to my post on hsquizbowl.

Team Missouri's scores will be tracked here.

The team is:
Jared Lockwood (Senior, Hallsville)
Evan Heronemus (Senior, Savannah)
Parth Parikh (Junior, Hannibal)
Alex Harmata (Junior, Hickman)

(1-0) New Jersey 420, (0-1) Missouri 130
(1-1) Kentucky 335, (0-2) Missouri 115
(2-1) Illinois 405, (0-3) Missouri 135
(4-0) Virginia 340, (0-4) Missouri 190 - score was 200-190 after 15, but VA got the rest
(3-2) Ohio 325, (0-5) Missouri 115
(4-2) Michigan 290, (0-6) Missouri 225 - MI led 300-85 after 14 but still clinched the victory going into TU 19
(6-1) California 415, (0-7) Missouri 165
(2-6) Georgia 280, (0-8) Missouri 165
(3-6) Pennsylvania 250, (0-9) Missouri 175 - close the whole game. Missouri was within 5 points after 11 and 13 but got only 1 more tossup after that.
(7-3) Tennessee 220, (0-10) Missouri 215 - Very tough loss. Missouri led after answering tossup 6 until Tennessee secured the victory on the first part of the last bonus. The lead was 220-120 after 16.
(1-10) Missouri 280, (0-11) South Carolina 135

For a while, we were doing really well on bonuses, ranking 4th in bonus conversion at around 17.5-18, although that average was boosted by answering the fewest tossups correctly. Conversion dropped in the last few rounds and ended up with the third lowest bonus conversion at 16.18.

Tomorrow's playoffs changed from the incomprehensible 3/3/3/3 split they announced at the morning meeting, to the obviously more sensible 4/4/4 split that was apparently being planned around lunch time, to the 6/6 split they ultimately decided on at the end of the day. So, we will be playing another round robin with the bottom half of the field, playing for 7th-12th. Since everyone played the same set of opponents today, records presumably carry over.

Bottom 6

5-6: Ohio, Kentucky
3-8: Pennsylvania
2-9: Georgia
1-10: Missouri
0-11: South Carolina

Based on that, we could theoretically finish as high as tied for 7th at 6-10 if:
- We win all 5 games.
- Ohio and Kentucky win no more than one game each
- Pennsylvania loses to at least one other opponent besides us

I followed Jeff's scoresheets all day and I want to say kudos to this team for playing hard every game no matter how far behind they were! That's all stars right there!
