Eureka Kickoff Tournament (10/15/2016)

Post by Mickey0R0urke »

I'm posting this announcement on behalf of Michael McDonald, the coach at Eureka High School.

Hello everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that Eureka will be hosting a season-opening tournament on October 15, 2016. We will be using NAQT's IS 158, which will also be used at a tournament happening at Hallsville in October, so you will be unable to attend this tournament if you are attending Hallsville's Fall tournament.

Fee Structure
Base Fee: $65 for 1st team, $60 per subsequent team
Moderator Discount: $25 per qualified moderator
Working Buzzer Discount: $5 per system (must work for 2 teams of 4 players each)
Distance Discount: $5 per 100 miles (one-way, as determined by Google Maps)

This tournament will initially be capped at 18 teams, and we will do our best to expand depending on interest and staffer availability. I will email details about the structure of the tournament closer to the day of.

Registration

The initial field cap has been reached, and Lutheran-St. Charles has the first two spots on the waitlist. We're still looking at expanding the field, so fill out the form if you're interested in attending!

Eureka has been given platinum certification by PACE, which means that the top 25% of the field will qualify for the 2017 NSC, which will be at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare from June 10-11, 2017.

Due to a few drops, we have an open spot in the field for Eureka next Saturday. Please let me know if you would like to claim this open spot!

Washington A defeated Ladue A 375-315 in the first game of an advantaged final to win the Eureka Fall Kickoff Tournament! MICDS came in third and Orchard Farm A finished 4th to round out the trophy spots.

Playoff and combined stats are available here and here.
