The MSHSAA format is changing this year from the 4 quarter format to a 26 question (13 per half) format. Each tossup has a 3 part bonus attached to it. For this tournament, we will use a 20 question format that is similar in style. There will be 10 tossups per half, each with a three part bonus attached. We will use our housewritten set, the Fort Osage Novice Set (FONS) IV. Details about the set are here: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewto ... 09&t=21506
Due to time constraints, a maximum of 16 teams will be allowed in this tournament. We would like to have 4 , four team brackets for the 3 preliminary rounds. After a short dinner break, we will rebracket the teams into 4 playoff and consolation brackets. A maximum of 6 rounds would be played.
Due to the time limitations, teams would not be able to leave for their dinner break. We will order pizza to provide for teams, so when you register, please let us know how many pizzas you would need. Teams can, if they choose, bring food with them or send a non-playing individual to get food, but teams will need to stay on campus during the dinner break.
Fees: (includes pizza)
