Matt's Buzzers was created in 2005 in memory Matt Cvijanovich, who was an avid college quizbowler at Iowa State University. He continued competing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign during his 1st semester of Grad School. He passed away just after that first semester from complications of pancreatitis.
In memory of Matt, Matt's Buzzers will award 10 grants in the amount of $200 each to middle school and high school teams to be used to purchase a new buzzer system or repair an existing one.
The application and more information about Matt and the grants can be found at www.mattsbuzzers.com.

They're going to have a snap giveaway in memory of Matt's dad. First two schools to identify the location of a photograph that will be posted will get a grant. Of course, they're still accepting submissions until the end of the month for their annual awarding of ten grants.
Is your team in need of a new buzzer system for the upcoming season? Matt's Buzzers will once again be awarding $250 grants toward the purchase of new buzzers to ten lucky teams in memory of Matt Cvijanovich, who played quizbowl in college at Iowa State and Illinois, and his father Mike.
