All-star team practice

Post by PenforPrez »

This thread is to be used to announce all-star team practices on the chatroom and in-person, to discuss same, and to ask questions about time, location, etc.

I am tentatively announcing an all-star practice in the chatroom at 9 Monday evening. I think we have two players confirmed, and I'm waiting to hear from the other two. We'll definitely practice on the HSAPQ all-star sample packet that I received and we'll probably go through rounds of similar difficulty afterwards. I will certainly be there, and I'm really excited about it. :D

We respectfully ask that other players not try to answer questions in this practice session, but anyone is certainly welcome to come and watch. :) We really want to see how these players perform together as a group, hence the reason for this request.

If anybody has any questions, post them here or send me a PM. :)

Monday night is not good for me. I have my IB English Test the next morning. I can do Sunday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday this week. But not Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Same situation as Grant, except with AP Comp Sci and just Monday night not available.

err...Monday's pretty much the only day I'm available.
Tuesday night = long English presentations for multiple hours
Wednesday night = math final for my night class at Wash U
Thursday night = study for APUSH test
Friday night = mshsaa state the next day
Saturday night = i think i'm free
Sunday night = study for AP Bio exam
yeah....

[EDIT: I originally thought I was booked friday/saturday night because of a math competition, but I switched my weekends. forgot that this coming weekend is mshsaa state and next weekend is the math competition.]

My understanding is that Nick can make it; if so, we'll proceed with the two of you.

I've contacted all of you guys about this already, but can you guys make an in-person practice in Columbia after the State tournament on Saturday? My reckoning is that it would be after 3:30-ish. Let me know if you all can go, and we'll take it from there.

Looks like we won't be able to get an in-person practice organized tomorrow. We'll just have to keep trying. :) When is everybody free next week for a chatroom practice?

Now that I'm almost back to normal. . . .

What days and times this week can everyone possibly practice in the chatroom? I'll be PMing all of you to try to finally arrange an in-person practice. :)

I'm available pretty much any night. I'm reviewing for my APUSH exam tomorrow, but I'll need a bit of a study break later. And what better thing to do on a study break than quiz bowl? XD

I graduate Wednesday night. So any night from Thursday on is good for me. And any time in the day for that matter.

Sorry I couldn't make it! my internet failed at around 7ish (it does that a lot). Got it back up by 10ish (it fails, but generally not for that freaking long) but by then I had definitely forgotten all about practice. So sorry! :(
