The ad at the top isn't intrusive; it just pulls random key words from the page and shows links to stuff about it, like I've seen stuff about Webb City and Kirksville pop up.

Happens all the times on Trekweb's BBS systems. I start a post on wanting to make the 11th Star Trek movie in Kirksville, really gum up the timeline by having Ricardo Montalban reprise his role as Khan, where he takes over the city and renames it "Khansville", and naturally, the post changes.
That's how Google ads work. You continually bash Bob and Pete and Catherine, and you're bound to accidentally click on a real estate ad for homes in Jeff City.
