Yeah definitely! They're so awesome; they didn't get more than 100 losses this season!

before todays game I would of put money on the twins... But with Santana losing today who knows... Tigers are gone, I don't like NYY pitching but their hitting might be able to over come that. Probably the most wide open playoffs in a long time.

Whoever thinks the Cardinals will win the World Series has to be on dope, quite honestly.

I said the Twins, but that was before their first loss, and now their second. So, at this point, I hate to say it, but the Yankees.

Wasn't me (I think I voted for the Twins as well) but it is kinda hard to lose when your pitching staff gives up one run in two games.

Win %-wise, the Cardinals are the worst team in the playoffs. Just because their staff's had two good games means nothing. There're at least 9 games to play til the World Series is won.

No, it doesn't mean anything, but it's a nice change. I fully expected the Cardinals to go out in four games at most.

And they don't play San Diego for all 9 of those.

Yeah, I voted Cardinals, out of blind loyalty. Pujols is the man, however.

I can't see how either of the NL teams are going to take down Detroit. But stranger things have happened, I guess...

yeah like being sweeped by KC in the last three game of the regular season at home then making the world series. With the way Detriots pitchers are going I don't think I would give STL the win with Chirs on the mound. Best three pitchers still holds true.

I have a bad feeling the Cards are going to blow it when two players go for a fly ball and collide and miss...

One of my suitemates saw this huge burn on a GameFAQS message board discussing the stuff on Kenny Rogers' hand in the first inning... read the first two pages and look at the photo to which PhilumciousPhil posts a URL in the last post on the 2nd page...

Talk about some unflattering photos...

I'm sure that when you're one of 15 people (fewer than the 21 who've orbited the moon)to have pitched a perfect game, make 8 million dollars a year, have won four gold gloves, and one World Series ring, you'll care about unflattering pictures.

Hey great fall for Missouri so far. Mizzou is 7-1 and the Cards are up 2-1 in the WS. Amazing turnaround for the Tigers and there won't be any more NL Central jokes.

I win - I was OUTSIDE BUSCH STADIUM for the whole shabang!!

A couple Indexers and I watched the game on a screen displaying to the outside of Busch. Pandemonium galore, and Cards officials opened the gates when the game was over to let everyone on the streets into the stands to watch the presentations. We didn't leave the city until 4 a.m.!

Holy. Freakin'. Crap. But yes, I'm still loyal to the Jestrs.

And holy freakin' crap, this is post number 3,000 for me. As such, I celebrate by listing every major league player that's accumulated 3,000 hits:
Pete Rose, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, Tris Speaker, Carl Yastrzemski, Cap Anson, Honus Wagner, Paul Molitor, Eddie Collins, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Nap Lajoie, Cal Ripken Jr., George Brett, Paul Waner, Robin Yount, Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, Rickey Henderson, Rod Carew, Lou Brock, Rafael Palmeiro, Wade Boggs, Al Kaline, Roberto Clemente
