FZW - State Champion
FZW - State Champion
FZW won its very first state title Saturday night defeating Incarnate Word (private girls school in St. Louis) 1 - 0 with the only goal being scored by Alyssa Mautz, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch 2006 Player of the Year.
This is the 3rd state title for the district since FZS won Cross Country the past two years. The district is more than 60 years old, started FZS in 1988, FZW in 1998, and will start FZE this fall along with FZN which is the original high school in the district.

That is VERY impressive as Incarnate Word was nationally ranked ... I think something like #13 in the country or something crazy like that... they stomped CGND in the quarters (I think the quarters at least).

Impressive finish by FZW, especially against a parochial school in one of the richest soccer regions in the nations. However, I'd keep my eye out on that sophomore Morgan at Lee's Summit North. Chances are the Broncos will be a greater force in the next two years.

Wow Kyle, you might know more about current girl's soccer, an activity you never did, than you do about current quiz bowl, something you won state in.

Wow, that has got to be one of the most insulting things ever leveled on this board, considering I didn't even remember her last name.ashkenaziCD wrote: Wow Kyle, you might know more about current girl's soccer, an activity you never did, than you do about current quiz bowl, something you won state in.
Since I apparently don't know a frakkin' thing about Missouri Quiz Bowl, what should I know?

I asked an open-ended question, you gave me a yes/no response reiterating my goofs rather than what you consider the current facts. <_<ashkenaziCD wrote: Yes sir, Mr. "Kirksville can maybe win state in 2006, Helias should cakewalk through districts in 2007, Scotland County could get 2nd at state in 2007, and the list goes on..."

This is true, but I thought I might as well support that contention with real-life posts by Chuq to show that he deserves that title.redliberte wrote: i thought chuq was a-hole of the month, every month?
