Missouri Top 100 Scholars

Post by FZW Coach »

I just found out that FZW has two of the Top 100 Scholars. I am just curious who on this board is part of this group or has been part of this group. I know that Tony Speno (class of '05) mentioned how interesting it was that many fellow scholar quiz players were part of the group when he attended the banquet.

Our two are: Julia Price (our captain) and Michael Coffin (our 5th best player who did compete on the A team during Two Saints but is not starting now that the two juniors are in the mix).

Well done! I look forward to hearing if some of the other seniors on this board are part of this group as well.

Hmm...I hadn't heard that those awards were out already. Where can we find the full list?

I received this my senior year. There were probably quite a few quiz bowlers then as well, though I couldn't name names.

Good call; totally missed that - guess I'm still used to Miscellaneous being second.

Heh, had he started it in General Discussion?

I am one of the top 100. Liberty's other scholar is big into debate and never had time for quiz bowl.

2 people from Truman got this honor. Michael, who most likely doesn't know he got the award since he's in France (he will be back in town tonight actually). The other person was on our team last year and the year before and just didn't want to play anymore

Who is the debater spencer, I know quite a few people on Liberty's debate squad and I may have even debated that person

Oops, a week early, Dakota; I arrived last night.

I'm not sure that every high school participated in this. I know someone from Rock Bridge who said that no one knew anything about Scholars 100. I find that a little bizarre.

Hah. Yeah, because Boy Scouts is sure awesome. I would rather they have cited my classes or quiz bowl or something.
