Try this: Stop lights around campus are red, yellow, and blinking yellow.
What's more absurd is that these are at crosswalks, and NO ONE EVER presses the pedestrian button to cross to Ryle or C-Hall!

Traffic is traffic. People want to cross as soon as possible and as directly as possible, even if that means running across the middle of a road instead of using the crossing signal.

We could use a crosswalk signal at Baltimore & Patterson. Several of my peers cross Baltimore (AKA 63-6-11) to reach Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Hardee's, and there's no such signal at Patterson.
However, seeing as I'm still registered to vote in Clay County, Kirksville's city council won't listen to me... then again, I just might take over MoDOT and enact my rapid interstate construction program.

Only in St. Louis do you lament having fewer Bohemians and Nose Rings than Kansas City.
