The things I learn...

Post by LibertyMarie » Fri Sep 16, 2005 7:07 pm

Not to ramble on about my favorite thing, but...yeah, that's about what this is going to be.

So I was, er, just happening to look around a Disney website...just random chance AL...and I was checking out the Lion King soundtrack specifically, and it credited Rowan Atkinson. I was all 'eh?'

I mean, when I first viewed The Lion King, the only actor whose name stuck out to me was Jonathan Taylor Thomas as young Simba, I'm not gonna lie. (And I guess Shenzi, Whoopi Goldberg, because my parents watched Star Trek TNG. And maybe even James Earl Jones as Mufasa, 'cause I'd seen Star Wars.) Anyhow. I didn't realize that The Lion King had a bunch of actual famous(ish) people in it, seriously. All along I'd thought that Oliver and Company was the only cel-animated cartoon with an all-star cast (ha more or less), with the somewhat exception of Robin Williams in <3Aladdin. But no. Lion King has a whole slew of people whose names I now recognize.
...weird.

*after looking at that cast list s'more*
Nor did I realize that Matthew Broderick was big Simba's voice. dizzang. I actually just watched the sequel the other night and found myself thinking, 'you know, if he wasn't an animated lion, i'd find simba really hott' (judging by his voice!!!). LMFAO

...gosh, I love Aladdin.

So. Any of you kids ever seen a Disney movie? AL

Yeah? Whenever I mention Disney around here (not that I do it frequently or anything, AL) it's usually met with silence.

See, when I've posted wholly unrelated stuff before, people delete it. Way to take advantage of my non-moderator status. hmph.

Umm... it's related. Disney lived in Marceline from 1906 to 1910 (age 5-9)

As I recall, the family farm was south of Marceline. I've yet to visit Chariton County, and if I've been through it before, I must have been a sleeping grade schooler when that happened.
