We want Dan-O back!!!

First of all, you could barely hear the girl reading the questions.
They structured it where each group of 5 questions is on a specific topic (today it was I Love Lucy, History, Entertainment, Sports, Music, and Geography) - we got 0, 5, 3, 3, 1, 4 I think.
They hardly ever read out the scores (like when he read them around question 7 or 8 of each round) - they just declared the winner of each round. Not sure if there were even prizes.
They started about 10-15 minutes before 9 and still ended well after 11.

Best question of the night:
"If you're at 0 degrees latitude, what country is directly to the right?"

I was fond of the question about Charlene Norris, John Lennon's first wife.

How about Steve Miller, who portrayed the Joker in the first Batman movie?

Dude, her name was Cynthia. The song "Hey Jude" was Paul McCartney's attempt to console their five-year-old son when she and John went splitsville.

Analyze the name "Charlene Norris" a little closer, and get back to me. I don't think any of us really cared what the right answer was.

I wan't sure if you were being sarcastic about your fondless or not, plus the mention of someone named Norris would call question credibility into debate.

But who cares? You had fun at Applebee's, and I had fun running up and down Michigan Avenue this weekend.

They're so slow they reduced it to 3 rounds of 5 questions. It seems to be because the reader has to also prepare drinks or something like that. It's 100% about the cheap appetizers now...

Well, last week they did 15 questions in an hour, and it was over by 10... and from what it sounds like there will be a theme each week now but with only 15 questions they will probably all be about that topic... guess we'll find out tomorrow.

TMCE - are you going tomorrow?

Same thing tonight?

We should decide for sure whether or not we want to start going on a different day. I wouldn't mind Thursdays since I don't have much homework and it would be a good way to end an otherwise crappy Thursday (besides ACO of course) - a regular break from Chartwells is always good.

I have somewhere to be at 7 tonight, and I have no idea how long it will last, so I probably won't be able to drive you guys tonight. I'd kind of like to go, though, tonight at least. We could go Thursdays starting next week, or even this week.

Which will probably happen. At any rate, we would likely have another mystery guest tonight (and it wouldn't be Bill this time).

I wouldn't mind at all - I have to squeeze dinner in between CS 153 demo time at 5 and ACO at 5:30, although since we'd be going to Applebee's I wouldn't even need to eat a full meal then. I will have to remember to eat around 4:30 on Wednesdays because of my lab from 5-7 though.

We got 6 I think. We were on the other side this time. Ironically, at the beginning of the first question, she walked to the other side and started to read that direction (although she did read toward our side and we were actually able to hear the questions for once). It got done around 10:20 and we waited another 10 minutes for the checks... argh

We may actually be going next Weds - because either Forbis or Seth made the Dukes of Hazzard suggestion and it seemed that she liked the idea a lot. How much do you want to bet that you'll have a football game then?

Yes, the almost perfect game...
Out of 15 questions, we got 17... and tied two other teams... we missed one question (there were 3 bonus points).

And I don't think I'm going to even try to get out of the ice rink that is S lot... (I haven't actually seen the lot in a while but seeing as how most of campus is still a bunch of ice and slush I don't think I have to)
