I've had mcdonalds too often recently... panda express sounds good.dividebyzero wrote:The girl in front of me? Melody.ZhangC1459 wrote:Lol so who was this?dividebyzero wrote:Went to Six Flags today for a school trip. I had an amazing sandwich for lunch (peanut butter banana, but that's another story for another time), but later in the day I went with some friends down to the Panda Express. When we were in line (I was just getting a couple of rangoons), the lady at the counter automatically assumed that the girl in front of me and I were ordering together (the girl does go to my school, but we hadn't met until that morning and were not planning on ordering together). Needless to say, it was a little strange...
She's a junior, and I didn't even know who she was until earlier that day
(Though apparently I have enough of a reputation at school for people to know who I am, even if I've never met them )

There's still time to drop out now :p
(though honestly, they'd probably notice if you gorged yourself there everyday )
Also, last time I ate at IHOP was on free pancake day. A ridiculous amount of Central kids skipped that day

HAAA I remember that. Me, John Lee, Jarek, and Nick (i think?) skipped second block and I remember waltzing into academic lab fourth block carrying some of the leftovers, and then eating them in Calculus 6th block.
I loved being a senior and having a car. Senior year was perhaps the best year of high school.

Agreed. Even not counting having a car, senior year was still a lot of fun. Like doing whatever we wanted in Physics (including but not limited to just not turning in labs or assignments and neglecting to remind her about it. That and all the other stuff we did. Loved having a class of only 10 people, all of whom are friends)ZhangC1459 wrote: I loved being a senior and having a car. Senior year was perhaps the best year of high school.
Hmmm, that's not related to food is it? Ummm ---> Swopshire said in his speech that school lunches are terrible. There you go, connection

Haha. Physics Brownies. There, food. But yeah, even with the not turning in things and not telling her, I still managed a D... though that's my own damn fault for not doing the homework checks... I never keep things, that sort of thing kills me.
But yeah, even if I hadn't had a car, I'd've still found a way to make it.

Agree with Ammar.
To Sabrina: Chipotle is awesome. It's also about the size of your arm and takes a while to eat.

Point taken
Also, anybody have good suggestions for breakfast during HSNCT? I specifically recall eating Zebra Cakes last year instead of wasting my money on the Hyatt's exorbitantly priced Starbucks.

I suppose "living an hour away from the nearest one" would go under the "things that suck" thread.

Re: Random posts about food
There's a McDonalds a short distance from the hotel (next to the Mobil at Higgins and River Rd.). It's not walkable in a reasonable time frame, but it's a short drive if you have a car or similar device. If you do that, the drive-thru is your best bet. There's also an IHOP about 5 or 7 minutes away by car. Yum yum!dividebyzero wrote:Point taken

Our school sometimes had it for lunch as the expensive option, i.e. 4 dollars for a burrito that was maybe a third of the size of real Qdoba.

Lack of queso is the lone flaw keeping Chipotle from being the perfect restaurant.FishyFreshman wrote:It's as good as Chipotle. It's just a little different. You can get queso.
I've eaten at Qdoba twice - both times I went I thought it was good but not as good as Chipotle, but I can't even remember why I thought this now.

[DON'T FEEL LIKE YELLING A RESTAURANT NAME IN ALL CAPS]
I don't remember who the kid was, but me and some guy from Phoenix had a great plan at HSNCT: get complimentary breakfast from the Mariott and come sell it in the Hyatt, undercutting the prices of apples and stuff (it wouldn't be that hard seeing what they charge )

ED DEBEVIC'S FTW
I still have my little Sundae cup from like eighth grade.
Also, at the Outback in the Marriott, there was a dessert named "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under". Me and Liron both independently decided that it was not a dessert, but the title of a... "fine film".
And while we're mentioning the Outback, their lobster and mushroom topping on their steak is epically good, totally worth the extra 2 or 3 bucks it cost. And I liek baked potato.

Re: Random posts about food
The food at school's not half bad. Problem is, the stuff will kill you if you don't exercise caution. Grilled cheese sandwich: I figured the cheese might make it a little heavy, but otherwise no big deal. Turns out they decided it would be better to drench the bread in oil and then use the description to write about organic vegetables instead. Go figure.
