So, as stated before, I suck. But, I am bringing 2 sets of buzzers, and were I able to get some sort of free agent team put together, would be eligible for the discounts. So, if you've got $20, and don't mind sharing a table with a guy who last played during Clinton's first term, please pm me and we...

Re: Missouri Open - July 6th, 2013

I keep getting drawn to this thread...

Half my mind says - "Go play, you'll be free. Why not?"

The other half says - "What are you crazy? You haven't played since 1996. In Kentucky. On a team that finished 4th at Governor's Cup. You were a sub." So I may decide to help staff.

Washington A lost to Ben Franklin, then beat Creekland and upset Thurgood Marshall before losing on the last tossup to Mounds Park. Finished tied for 17th. Final record of 7-5.

J. Amlong was the 6th best non-8th grader and missed out on Rising Star.

Great weekend for us.

Washington A made playoffs at 5-3, Washington B (mostly 7th graders) missed at 4-4. Weaubleau was at 1-7, with their only win coming over 0-8 Holden.

J. Amlong of Washington B is in the running for a "Rising Star" award as the 27th best individual (57.74 PP20TH) as a 7th grader.

Re: 2013 MSHSAA District Tournament Results

that's actually how the sets have always looked when NAQT took over. The first and third quarters are always a single line, and the 2nd and 4th quarters were always around 3 lines (taken from NAQT's A-sets) This goes to explain how Washington's team, though the older kids have only a very limited a...

Teams played in 2 groups of 6, and were then seeded into 3 brackets of 4 for the afternoon.

Washington B (3/4 7th graders!) beat Washington A 320-200 in the last game, which amounted to a final. Washington C beat Sullivan for 3rd place.

The field for this is full, but I can condense a team or two if the interested team goes for it or maybe make way for another school that I expect to hear from. BTW, I have 5 of the the 6 rooms staffed now, and while I could read room 6, I'd rather not have to. Please, anyone, let me know if you can...

MS-06?

Anyone know of anything coming up that might be using NAQT's MS-06? Right now, we're set for 5 more tournaments, (St. Joseph's Christian Academy, Clever, Our tournament on CMST IV, Richland, and MSNCT) and I don't think any of them are going to be on that set. It'd be nice to get in one last run at ...

I can add to the partial results: in the 7/8 division, teams started in 6 brackets, and the top 2 from each bracket were placed into 2 championship flights - winners from those were in the title game, 2nd place finishers in the 3rd place game. Washington A went undefeated on the day and beat West A ...

We had a fun day, even if Washington fielded 7 of the 8 teams in this. All of my kids got some good experience and playing time, and that's what matters this time of year.

My A team went 7-0, followed by C at 6-1, and B at 5-2.

I'm in my first year coaching quiz bowl/choir director for the Washington School District (Middle School), and I've been searching all over the place to find some Junior High tournaments, or at least some area teams that we can hold a few matches with.

Can anybody please help us out?
