Lets touch a combine!
So we're still laughing about Touch A Combine night at the minor league baseball game in Normal, Illinois. I've talked about organizing a road trip to Normal for that particular event, and I wanted to see who'd like to go. That exact game is July 26th (Gateway Grizzlies vs. the Normal Cornbelters). ...

Re: A Friendly Reminder From MSHSAA
If every school competed off-season, and MSHSAA penalized every team from all the schools, then what the heck is MSHSAA overseeing? Several cancelled state tournaments. A mass violation of that nature would practically be a popular revolt against MSHSAA. This sounds vaguely like how the Tea Party g...

Re: HSNCT Predictions
I did submit an HSNCT bid for St. Louis in 2007, and it was a good bid. The problem was (I was told) that NAQT could not get deals on hotel rooms in St. Louis like they could in Chicago. Once again, St. Louis can't get anything right! A St. Louis bid would be a lot stronger now. On the other ...

Re: Missouri's all-star team
I really like the early part of the schedule; I think that will help us get into a groove. :) Team Texas is probably going to be one of the better teams there, so I'm not sure if that's really going to help very much. New Hampshire and Vermont should be beatable, though. Texas will be a tough match...

I received the schedule for the all-star tournament today. 16 teams are currently entered, so we're going to play a round robin of 15 games total--12 games Saturday and three games Sunday morning, followed by tiebreakers and finals as necessary. Team Missouri will be playing, in order: Round 1: New ...

Re: A Friendly Reminder From MSHSAA

Plenty of time to debate between playing at MOQBA events, other decent tournaments, and at tournaments that provide crappy questions. Something that doesn't suck is white trash drama. I grew up with a lot of this, and it's always hilarious to see the priorities of some people. The Jerry Springer Show will never die; future generations will be too amused by it to let it die gracefully. I called a woman near Kent, Ohio last night to...
