Ladue Fall Novice and Middle School Tournament (11/5/11)
The Ladue Academic Team is pleased to announce that we will be holding a quizbowl tournament for novice teams and middle schools on November 5th, 2011, at Ladue High School in St. Louis, Missouri. These two tournaments will be completely separate events; they are merely being held in the same place ...

There will actually be two Tamil Tiger Mother teams; I'll see if the other group wants to come up with a creative name for themselves.

Also if some combination of our people attended, we would have to have a non-Ladue name. Perhaps the Tamil Tiger Mothers might resurface.

Hopefully this is the right thread in which to post this; Ladue is bringing exactly one girl to the HSNCT, which is an awkward number. Are there any other teams in a similar situation who would like to combine forces to save money and have our players share a room?

Oh! I have another prediction!
Questionwise, the pyramidal rounds are slightly better, but as expected, cutting one part out of a bonus swings difficulty wildly. Also, speedchecks still suck. Still, no protests are needed, huzzah!

In the sectional round whose score hit 870 total, I don't think any math questions made it beyond half a line, if not less, with both Will and me in the room. "Difficulty" was irrelevant in basically any game we've played, because, frankly, Ladue has a bunch of people good at math. That sa...

Also, am I the only one who thinks the recognition rules are inordinately stupid? Like, in one round (was it finals?), we had an experience where the scorekeeper literally pointed at Zev, who answered, only to be told that his name had to be said.

In our district:
Ladue goes 3-0, SLUH 3-0, Clayton 2-1 (loss to Ladue), Villa 1-2 (losses to SLUH and Ladue), Rosati-Kain 0-3.
Seeded in that order; Ladue over Villa and Clayton over SLUH, Ladue beats Clayton 630-210 in the finals.
Individuals was a tie between me and Ikshu in prelims.

As LIST's TD, I certainly did not feel beholden to MSHSAA's format with regards to 50/20 or 20/20, so neither did I feel like I had an obligation to follow them on having no bo...
