1. You are basing a decision off of something said by Bobby Richter. 2. Is there not a better way of choosing a college than by which place's professor has made good games? 1. Actually, I would've done compsci there anyways, Bobby just made it sound better 2. CCP never had a professor at Rolla... I...

As a plus, if I go to MS&T and do CompSci, then I can intern with CCP, who made EVE Online, during my Junior/senior year according to Bobby Richter. Which I totally will do, because EVE is an awesome game.

On the other hand, I definitely killed Kanye jokes at our school less than a week and a half after the VMA's.
On the other other hand, I successfully made Goodrich say one during class, resulting in a near-simultaneous facepalm and maniacal laughter from me.

Chipotle Thursdays. Strangely this is the first time Chipotle has been mentioned in this thread. It will be mentioned again... a buy one get one free coupon was mailed to me a few days ago and was waiting for me at home. No idea where they got my address, but in this case I'm not complaining! ohhh ...

Re: Two Saints, 2009
Let me clarify the observations I made earlier so they're not misunderstood. There were several Two Saints questions that were very similar to those we heard at Spirit of St. Louis. However, I agree with Charlie and everyone else that this could easily be coincidental. I was just surprised when I k...

In response to Charlie, as I said in my post before his, I apologize for jumping to conclusions.
I will however firmly stand by the fact that the question in... question... was a repeat, exact wording, of a question heard earlier during the year.

Re: Two Saints, 2009
I must respond. No offense, but some of those statements do not make sense. Too much math in Luce's sets? It is the standard MSHSAA format. You can certainly disagree with that and choose not to play tournaments with this format. That is your choice. Well, first, I never specifically blamed Luce's s...

Re: Two Saints, 2009
I'm excited to play St. Louis teams on good questions. Unfortunately, of the competitive teams, I've only played Ladue, who is very good, but not unbeatable. I don't know how much weight to take from these stats since they're from Bill Luce questions. As least they're not QG right? So in conclusion...

Re: Two Saints, 2009
By the way, are we still prohibited from mentioning specific questions in this thread? Now that everyone in Two Saints is playing at the same time it doesn't seem to be an issue. Unless, of course these question sets are also being used elsewhere. As a general rule, you should probably avoid discus...

Yeah, we definitely blitzed a lot of questions and powered several that we shouldn't have. From one player to another: don't complain when you power tossups. Oh well... we'll deal. We've got our HSNCT/PACE bids already anyways, so it doesn't matter TOO much... I just wish we could've gone anyways.

I got to moderate this today--it was fun. Questions were actually by Show Me Questions (Bill Luce) rather than by Questions Galore, so there was a mix of one liners and semi-pyramidal history & literature. There were a couple of questions with misleading leadins, and the science was a bit on th...
