Missouri IAC Elementary/MS Regional Finals

Calling all students in 8th grade or younger who want to test their skills in history, geography, and/or science!

This year, Missouri will host at least three sites of IAC's regional finals for the National History, Geography, and Science Bees. Any individual student who qualifies (free and online) is eligible to register at any regional finals that they so choose. This year, students in Missouri will have at least these three in-state sites to select from:

• March 9, 2024 -- Southern Boone County Middle School (Ashland, MO)
• March 23, 2024 -- Scotland County R-1 Elementary (Memphis, MO)
• April 13, 2024 -- Rohan Woods School (near Kirkwood, MO)

Students may also compete in online regional finals. In addition, there are a few nearby in-person tournaments in other states whose dates or locations might be more convenient for some families:

• January 20, 2024 -- Edwardsville (IL) High School
• February 24, 2024 -- University of Arkansas - Fort Smith
• March 16, 2024 -- Walnut Middle School (Grand Island, NE)
• April 6, 2024 -- Lausanne Collegiate School (Memphis, TN)

These are not team-based competitions; rather, they are for individual students who want to try to qualify for national or international finals in the History, Geography, and Science Bees.

I had a student take two of the online qualifying exams today. Do you know when and how their scores will be released? Am I able to compare results to the rest of Missouri? When do the Regional Finals close? I'd love any help I can get!

Hi Coach Delmont! I don't know exactly when scores are released from the online test, but here is IAC's FAQ which has a bit more info in #4. I don't know that you'll be able to get any comparison score; it's my understanding you'll simply find out whether or not each student has qualified.

The April 13 regional will accept registrations until at least April 1, and there may be a possibility to accept late entries as well at IAC's discretion.

Registration deadline for the April 13 regionals at Rohan Woods in St. Louis is Monday, April 1. I'd love to see as many people attend as possible!
