Since your tournament typically brings in teams from many states, could you list the states of schools attending from outside Missouri?
Hopefully, there will be plenty of teams from Missouri. If there was one university that I could come closest to getting away with saying "always puts on an excellent tournament", Wash U would be the one.

I'm interested in helping with staffing, I bet me and Ammar would do a great job moderating/scoring as a team for a room.

Well, if you need staffers, Mohammad (sp?) and I would be willing to man a room.

I believe Mrs. Ross signed us up for this already. We loved the tournament last year, and it ought to be another good one.

For what it's worth, I cross-posted this on the Ohio board. It would be cool if some of them could come.

While I'm pretty sure I've asked you this before, I honestly don't remember the answer: are the Ohio teams any good? (my interstate knowledge is obviously very limited)PenforPrez wrote:For what it's worth, I cross-posted this on the Ohio board. It would be cool if some of them could come.

Yes, the best teams in Ohio are often top 20 teams nationally, and that is the case again this year.

Olmsted Falls is scary good this year. At the FKT tournament at Olmsted Falls, their best player was getting a lot of tossups in the first line or line and a half. He's frightening.ashkenaziCD wrote:Yes, the best teams in Ohio are often top 20 teams nationally, and that is the case again this year.

I welcome some Ohio involvement and btw Steve Frappier has informed me that he is intending to bring two teams from Ransom Everglades again.

Rock Bridge HS (Columbia, MO) would like to bring two teams to this tourney. I sent an email earlier this week, but it hasn't been confirmed. I'd figure I'd use this method, as well.

In an announcement which will no doubt delight everyone, WUHSAC will almost certainly not have computational math this year.

In another announcement that will no doubt delight everyone, we will no longer be using single elimination playoffs for WUHSAC this year.
Edit: Assuming we can find enough staff (which we believe we will be able to).

Um.
I will most likely not be attending this, due to my brother getting into the state band and the concert being that day. My school still might be though.
*massive sigh*

Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
I talked to the Northmont coach the other day; he was running his annual Rowdy Raider tournament at Wright State in Dayton last weekend. He's really excited about coming to St. Louis; he's looking forward to playing the teams from MO and elsewhere. His stated goal is nothing less than to win, so that should give everyone something to aim at.
Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
With the addition of Clayton C, we're more than 2/3 of the way to filling our field. If you're interested in signing a up a team, please do so soon!
Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
We're 2 teams from our field cap, with 2 teams on our waiting list (since I wanted to give additional schools the opportunity to sign teams up), so if you're planning on signing up, please do so soon!

Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
So apparently Rock Bridge B was excluded from the field because, despite the fact that their coach posted here in mid-November saying he was going to bring 2 teams, and then Charles Hang immediately added those teams to the official field to no further comment anywhere, because Rock Bridge sent them a registration email at an even earlier date that didn't fully commit to bringing 2 teams, Charles Hang, a.k.a. Mr. Competency, is just now getting around to not including them in the field despite never having done a single thing to let Rock Bridge know that they needed to resend their confirmation email to make their second team official. Give Rock Bridge B back the spot you led them to believe they had 6 weeks ago.
Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
Clayton has graciously agreed to drop their third team, so Rock Bridge B is back in our field. My apologies for all of the confusion, especially for overlooking Coach Irwin's forum post from November.
Re: WUHSAC XIII (01/29/2011) at WUSTL (St. Louis, Missouri)
Could anyone refer me to the stats of some tournaments that the out of state teams have attended? It'd be cool if I could see how they've performed in various fields with various sets.
