The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance is pleased to announce that we will host the MOQBA Fall Championship on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Columbia College in Columbia. As MOQBA's flagship fall tournament, we look forward to hosting another highly competitive and geographically diverse field and encourage high school teams from every area of the state to attend.

The MOQBA Fall Championship will use the 2022 Scottie question set. While we expect to be the only tournament in Missouri using this set, it is your responsibility to ensure that your team has not previously heard this question set and will not compete in any other tournaments using this set.

For more details and a link to the registration form, please see the full announcement on our website.

34 teams from a tournament record 30 schools attended the seventh MOQBA Fall Championship at Columbia College.

After round 9, Fair Grove, Parkway West, Ladue A, and Mexico advanced to the superplayoffs, while the remaining championship tier teams played round 10 placement games. Fair Grove and Ladue A were the only remaining undefeated teams entering their scheduled round 11 match, effectively beginning a best of three final. Ladue won the first game 355-320 to take the advantage in the final, while Fair Grove won the second game 380-310 to force a third game. Fair Grove won the third game 375-280 to become the first small school champion to also win the overall MOQBA Fall Championship title! In round 11, Mexico defeated Parkway West 385-145 in what was effectively the third place game.

Thanks to our incredible staff and everyone at Columbia College for another successful Fall Championship! I hope to see everyone join us again for the fifteenth NAQT Missouri Qualifier on March 4!
