Team Missouri wins all-star tournament!

Congratulations to Team Missouri A for winning the 2024 National All-Star Academic Tournament! Missouri A finished with the best record in the round robin (12-2) then won the second game of the advantaged final against Maryland! Missouri B was part of the four way tie for second at 11-3, but lost the first tiebreaker game to Illinois Cyan to finish tied for fourth. Yrwin Batan of Missouri B and Camden Williams of Missouri A were also the top two individual scorers!Looking for practice material? Fellow Coaches,

It is my pleasure to announce the 2023 North Point Grizzly Scholars Tournament will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at North Point High School in Wentzville, Missouri. (2255 West Meyer Road, Wentzville, MO 63385)

Question Set:
We will be using NAQT IS-218A for the question set. As of the announcement, this set will also be used at Strafford HS (1/21), Bell City HS (1/21), and Lee's Summit West (1/14). Please refer to this page (https://www.naqt.com/schedule/assigned- ... et_id=3674) at NAQT that lists all tournaments using the set to make sure you do not hear these questions more than once.

Question/Game Format:
20 tossups with 3 non-rebounding bonuses
15-point powers for early correct tossup responses
No penalties for incorrect answers (no negs)
Sudden-death tiebreaker

Tournament Format:
Prelim pools leading to either playoffs or consolation pools.
Bracket ranked by win-lost with ties broken by average points per game
Following prelims, awards will be presented to the top 10 individual scorers
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams

Registration & Costs:
1st Team: $75
Subsequent Teams: $60 each
Discounts: $10 per approved moderator, $5 per scorekeeper, $5 per fully-functional 8+ player buzzer system
Minimum Fee: $40

We have expanded the tournament to 48 teams, but if you would like to be on the waitlist should a team drop, please don't hesitate to register!
