The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance is pleased to announce that we will return to Columbia College for the sixteenth NAQT Missouri Qualifier on Saturday, March 2, 2024. This will once again be Missouri's only high school tournament using the NAQT Division II Collegiate Sectionals question set, which is more challenging than NAQT's regular season Invitational Series questions but a step below the difficulty of NAQT's High School National Championship Tournament questions.
We will open registration for the Qualifier on Wednesday, December 13, but interested coaches are encouraged to complete this short form now to express your interest in the tournament. A full announcement will be posted in early December, at which time we will also send a reminder email to coaches who have expressed interest.

Re: 2024 NAQT Missouri Qualifier - March 2 at Columbia College
We will be introducing timed rounds for this year's Qualifier, with 11 minute halves. (HSNCT previously used 9 minute halves, but will be using 10 minute halves starting this year.)
38 schools registered before the waitlist priority deadline last night, so we are confirming one spot in the field for each school. This is a soft expansion to guarantee that each of these schools will have room to participate. If multiple schools drop to reduce the field to 36 or fewer, the field cap will revert to 36 and may remain there depending on how our staffing numbers are looking for our first timed tournament. If we remain above 36 as the tournament approaches, we'll most likely add teams from the waitlist to reach 40 or 42.

Re: 2024 NAQT Missouri Qualifier - March 2 at Columbia College
Thirty-six teams from thirty-three schools attended the 2024 NAQT Missouri Qualifier at Columbia College on March 2, 2024, which was the first Qualifier played with timed halves.
After round 9, College Heights Christian, Parkway West, Mexico A, and Priory advanced to the top 4 superplayoffs. Following round 11, Mexico A was undefeated and Priory had only lost to Mexico, beginning an advantaged final, with Mexico holding the advantage. Mexico won the first game 295-280 to win the overall NAQT Missouri Qualifier title! College Heights Christian was third and Parkway West was fourth.
Fair Grove won the first game of an advantaged final 280-180 over Clever to earn the small school title for the third consecutive year. As the only eligible team to advance to Consolation 2, Weaubleau was declared the Very Small School champion. With their second place finish overall, Priory was the inaugural small school Open division champion.

Thanks to all who attended!
