How do YOU study?

Post by WilliamofOrange »

Hey guys! I was curious, how do you personally prepare for Quizbowl? We all know the conventional way, which essentially breaks down into writing interesting/useful things down and researching what you don't know, which is fine. It works, helps develop some knowledge that isn't strictly for competition, and it can lead to some pretty amazing results with enough effort. But for all of you out there, is there anything else that you find works well for you? Or even something that you feel would work, even if you haven't tried it?

Try staffing tournaments. I know that's helped me get better over this past year. Also try reading stuff that comes up a lot. I have a kindle, and kindle offers a lot of the classics that come up in quiz bowl for free online.
